My spouse is big on economic issues, and would like to share a great financial resource with you. Here’s his message:
Special Public Service Announcement from the Digerati Spouse
EconTalk, hosted by a former professor of mine (Russ Roberts) is a truly excellent introduction and refresher course in the free-market / libertarian way of thinking about society, politics and economics. In these troubling times, I find EconTalk one of the few beacons of sanity. If you are interested in understanding the deeper structure and meaning behind much of the political and financial discussion in the news, I highly recommend it. You will learn a lot more than you could from reading the Business and Politics sections in the newspaper every day. The host is also a regular commentator on the National Public Radio’s Morning Edition.
I’m happy that EconTalk, my favorite podcast, is in the running to win the coveted 2008 Best Podcast Award at the 2008 Weblog Awards. In my opinion, this gem of a show deserves wider recognition. So I hope you can check it out and if you like it, do consider giving it a vote here. Polls for the Weblog Awards will close on January 13, 2009.

I second the recommendation. I have been listening to Econ Talk for the past several months and it’s truly excellent.
Glad to know you endorse the show! We learn a lot by listening to it and reading Russ Robert’s blog, Cafe Hayek.
Checking it out. Count on my vote 😉
One of the best EconTalk episodes was also one of the weirdest — http://www.econtalk.org/archives/2008/06/cole_on_the_mar.html . He interviews the salesman who convinced him to buy a nicer car than he intended.
Woo hoo, EconTalk won Best Podcast!
